Standing in line waiting to move
In the bank an hour or two ago had cause to laugh at the improbability of the situation as well as the would-be customer immediately behind who poked me and related a jury duty story featuring parrots, singing birds, poor breeding tactics and a homicide. Impromptu story hour began when two separate customers ahead cashed in their nickels and pennies and Sacajawea dollars--unrolled--and two tellers pitched in to help roll the change while the line swelled when an invisible AARP van arrived and out came 7 individuals armed with walkers and who were clearly disgruntled at having to wait for the change to be rolled.

Only older people can get away with catcalling and talking louder than usual about arthritis and pinched nerves and inquiring into Advance To Go passes.

I was amused.

Lately, have not been amused much.

I miss writing.
