I'm in West Palm Beach for the weekend, presenting at a conference and chatting with colleagues I haven't seen in a while, hugging favorites like Tricia and Shawn, and content to be here doing what I enjoy. Kim arrives today and I'm looking forward to seeing her in person so we can laugh and make snide remarks about people. Since arriving I've been thinking about Tasha and the last time we came to visit her mom here in WPB back in my college days, meandering through images and memories like a woman prancing over fields in douche commercials. Pleasant scenes and soft focus cameras galore.
I am not sad or dwelling, but peaceful with a small smile on my face. I wonder if she thinks about me and the 4 1/2 years we spent together, and smiles too.
